Brief summary of work
– Serve as point of contact for your residents in emergency situations – RAs are expected and required to report any unsafe behavior or facility issue immediately – Walk-throughs are required as part of each shift’s responsibility – Staff the student mail room and housing office – Assist with move in, checkouts, and orientations as needed – Assist the preparation of Summer Academy, fall athlete, and general move-in events

Brief summary of work
– serve as primary point of contact for residents in emergent & non-emergent situations – serve facility role in getting halls ready to open and closing them down for breaks and end of school year. As such, RAs arrive early and depart late at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring recesses, as well as staying minimum one day after halls close in May (day after graduation) – attend and participate in biweekly staff meetings and trainings

Preferred Skills / Qualifications
– Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 – experience living in on-campus housing for a minimum 2 semesters previously – sophomore+ status academically (at least 24 credits passed in college coursework not including any credits obtained while in high school) – Previous experience as an RA is preferred but not required

Work Hours / Scheduling
– 3-5 hour shifts in your respective residence hall – approx. 16-20 hours per week – head RAs will participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule (approx. every 6 weeks throughout the semester) – the RA assignment begins approximately July 21, 2023 (depending on fall athlete move-in) and lasts until May 11, 2024

Mail Room Attendant (Fall 23 / Spring 24)

Brief summary of work
– Follow pick-up schedule from Post Office, Sewell, and the Physical Plant – Log and release mail in Parcel Tracker – Store mail according to the established organization system – Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area

Work Hours / Scheduling
– Each attendant must be willing and able to either open (8am) or close (6pm) the mail room at least once per week AND work a weekend shift (10am-12pm; 12-2pm) at least once a month. – Attendants will be scheduled for 12-18 hours per week throughout the semester depending on their academic and athletic schedules. We will work with any in-season athletes while they’re in their competition season.

Housing Office Assistant

Brief summary of work
– Maintain confidentiality of any documents, emails, or meetings in the housing office – Assist in mail room as needed – Print ID cards, file applications, respond to Panhandle Housing emails, assist with keys, and any other minimal tasks as assigned by supervisor – Monitor delivery/create pick-up notifications in Akademos – Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area – Biweekly mail room audits

– Enrolled full time for the appropriate term – Willing and able to return to campus the week before classes start to assist with move-in weekend

Work Hours / Scheduling
– Assistants will be scheduled for 12-18 hours a week depending on academic and athletic schedules. We will work with any in-season athletes while they’re in their competition season. – Assistants must be willing and able to open (8am) or close (4:30pm) the Housing Office at least twice a week.

– Return to campus early (the Monday before classes start) to assist with move-in weekend. – 2-4 positions available

Academic Records Student Worker

Brief summary of work
– For Fall 2023 student worker: Assist students, parents, alumni, and other community members with their academic records needs. Candidate must have great customer service skills and be willing to answer phones, file records, answer general inquiries, and complete data entry. Ability to lift 50 pounds at times.

– Great customer service both in person, on the phone, and via email. Experience in an office is preferred but not required.

Men’s Soccer Student Manager

– Assist in set up and breakdown of practices. Assist with gear and equipment during practices. Assist in game day duties (field set up, equipment, team meals). Other duties assigned by Head Coach and Assistant Coach.
