Assistant Professor of Education (Reading Specialist)

Full time position in Education to begin August 2024. Responsibilities include teaching Foundations of Reading, Field Experience Practicum, Methods and Materials in Reading, and Educational Technology courses; serving on Teacher Education Council; supervising student interns and residency teachers, and other duties as assigned.

Central Advisor – College of Business and Technology

Central Advisors are proactive professionals who are sincere and passionate about assisting students with their transition to OPSU and helping them succeed in their academic journey. Central Advisors are responsible for working with concurrent, freshmen, sophomores, and transfer students (up to 60 credit hours).

Instructor/Assistant Professor of English

Full time position in the Department of English will begin in August 2024. Must be able to teach on-campus. Responsibilities include teaching 12-15 hours per semester (27-30 hours per year) with the possibility of summer teaching assignment(s). Instructional coursework will include freshman composition and British literature, including Shakespeare. In addition, assisting with the departmental assessment process, academic mentoring/tutoring, participation in scholarly activities, service to the university, the profession, and the community and fulfilling university responsibilities as needed are requirements of this position. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Proactive member of the Aggie CARE (Compassion, Accessible, Respect, Empathy) Community. Follows university policies and procedures, the university faculty handbook, and teaching standards set forth by the university. Instructors are evaluated each semester by students through course evaluations and undergo an annual faculty performance review.

Director of Library Services

The Director of Library Services is responsible for overseeing and developing traditional and innovative library services. This role involves collaborating with library staff, faculty, and university administration to translate vision into practice, responding to the rapidly changing and complex higher education environment. The Director balances existing library services and resources with emerging technologies, ensuring the library remains a vital resource for patrons. The Director provides leadership for every aspect of library operations and manages Marvin E. McKee Library personnel, services, and resources in ways that support the mission of Oklahoma Panhandle State University and serves the needs of students, faculty, and other users.

Instructor or Assistant Professor of Agribusiness

Full time position in the Agribusiness Department will begin August 12, 2024. Must be able to teach on-campus. Responsibilities include teaching 12-15 hours per semester (27-30 hours per year) with the possibility of summer teaching assignment(s). Instructional coursework will include agricultural economics, agricultural marketing, quantitative Agri economics, Studies: Research Methodology, money and banking. In addition, assisting with the departmental assessment process, academic mentoring/tutoring, participation in scholarly activities, service to the university, the profession, and the community and fulfilling university responsibilities as needed are requirements of this position. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Assist the head coach with supervision and coordination of the soccer program.

Speech Communications Adjunct Instructor

This is an on-campus/face-to-face adjunct position. Teaching duties include 3 credit hours per semester in speech communications. The number of courses/hours taught could increase if there is a demand for more sections. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Proactive member of the Aggie CARE (Compassion, Accessible, Respect, Empathy) Community.
