Do you charge an application fee?

No, OPSU does not charge an application fee.

Am I required to have health insurance?

OPSU does not currently require that International students have health insurance, but it is highly recommended because healthcare costs can be high in the U.S.

Are the resident halls open during school breaks?

The Residence halls are closed during Thanksgiving and Christmas Break. For the Fall and Spring break, you can make arrangements prior to the breaks with the housing office to stay in the resident hall. The resident halls are also closed during the Summer break, but the Aggie Apartments remain open.

What are the alternative housing options during school breaks?

Alternative housing options during breaks which the resident halls are closed are to stay with friends, family, or other local accommodations.

Is the cafeteria open during school breaks?

The cafeteria is open during Fall break. It is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, Summer and Spring breaks.

Are there any athletic scholarships available? Who should I contact if I am interested?

Every sport has athletic scholarships, but some have more than others depending on the size of the team. Head Coaches are listed at http://opsuaggies.com and may be contacted directly.

Do I have to do the NAIA Eligibility Center to play a sport?

Yes, go to the NAIA Eligibility Center to to get started. It will navigate you through the process. Every athlete must enroll for the NAIA Eligibility Center.
