Leland Waugh

Leland Waugh, the sixth child of George and Edith, attended PAMC from 1968-1970. He then joined the Reserves. Leland married Carole Sue Lauer, a PSU attendee 1956-1957, and they made their home in Buffalo, OK. Carole Sue passed away in 2006. Leland is self-employed and farms in Buffalo.

Two of Leland’s four children attended PSU—Charles Gregory Painter and Kirk Lauer Painter. Charles attended from 1977-1983. He and wife Lori (PSU graduate in 1983) live in Enid and Charles works at Hackney-Ladis pipe fabrication as a quality control manager. Lori is a 6th grade teacher at Monroe elementary. Charles and Lori’s son Clayton was the third generation in Goodwell when he attended 2003- 2004. Clayton later transferred to Oklahoma State University.

Kirk Painter attended PSU from 1981-83. He currently lives in Chickasha, OK and works at Standrige John-Deere as a Parts Manager. Another son, Shawn Painter Herd, is a Pharmacy Tech and T&L Pharmacy in Buffalo. Landon is a Physical Therapist for Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, OK. Leland married Clydene in February 2008.
