Douglas Steele
Douglas Steele attended Panhandle State on a basketball scholarship and graduated in 1981, majoring in Animal Science and Agribusiness. Steele continued his education, earning his highest degree in 1992. He has had a 40-year career in higher education through Cooperative extension and land-grant universities. Steele is now the Vice President, Food, Agriculture & Natural Resources for the Association of Public & Land-grant Universities (APLU).
