Panhandle State to Issue HEERF III Grants to Eligible Students

The Office of Financial Aid will disburse more than $1.5 million in Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds funded through the American Rescue Plan to students this fall semester.

Students are not required to apply for this third round of funding, and direct refunds will be issued to the students who qualify. Students eligible are those enrolled in at least one credit hour from Spring 2020 through the Fall 2021 semester.

Students and/or parents who are currently experiencing unemployment, a drastic change in income from 2019 to 2021, or some other unusual circumstances are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Aid to set an appointment to discuss their situation. In some cases, adjustments can be made to a student’s cost of attendance to allow for additional grant and loan eligibility. To set up an appointment, students should call the Office of Financial Aid at 580.349.1580 or email opsufinaid@opsu.edu
