OPSU is thrilled to announce its upcoming Choir and Band concert, set to take place on February 27th at 7 p.m. at the Centennial Theater in Hughes-Strong Hall.
Get ready for an amazing night of music! Featuring compositions by contemporary artists like Mark Miller and B.E. Boykin and timeless classics by the legendary John Williams, this concert promises to be entertaining for audiences of all ages.
Professor Zachary Cooke, OPSU’s new Director of Music, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “As this is my first semester at OPSU, it was important to create a concert that showcases the talent and dedication of our students. Working with such exceptional students and colleagues has been a joy, and I’m proud of the hard work they’ve put into this performance.”
The concert is a testament to the collaborative efforts across various departments at OPSU. Professor Cooke added, “It’s rare to encounter individuals who prioritize the well-being of students as passionately as we do here at OPSU. I am eagerly anticipating directing this concert and hope that attendees will enjoy an evening filled with beautiful melodies.”
Admission to the Choir and Band concert is free and open to all members of the community, and we’re looking forward to celebrating the great talent at OPSU.
