OPSU Writing Center’s New Accommodations Provide More Accessible Learning Opportunities, Fostering On-Campus Success for Panhandle Students

Located in Hamilton Hall, “The OPSU Writing Center specializes in one-on-one consultations with students, faculty, and staff,” says Writing Center Director, Martin Fulmer. With flexible scheduling provided for all visitors, the possibilities are endless with this helpful on-campus resource. Not only does it give the student body the chance to excel in their education, but it also gives faculty the chance to participate in ongoing career development and education.

With the Title V Funding secured during the Fall Semester of 2023, the OPSU Writing Center has had the chance to expand its services with many new items and resources in its space. Several laptops, printers, and desktop computers have opened the opportunity for more learning and availability. With these tools, students have direct access to educational resources.

Along with these technological advancements, the Writing Center has added new furniture and a Food Center to create a spacious and accommodating learning environment. One student stated, “Being able to learn in an environment that feels like home has been amazing!” For many, the compatibility and comfort of this space is key. These items have enhanced a space that is used by all.
