Connecting Students with Career Opportunities at the Annual Aggie Career Connections Event

The OPSU Academic Resource Center’s Annual Aggie Career Connections event is an excellent time for students to socialize with area businesses for internships and career opportunities. The event will be held in the Student Union Ballroom on April 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Aggie Career Connections is a crucial platform for juniors and seniors at OPSU to connect with potential employers and explore career opportunities within their specific sector. This event, organized by the Academic Resource Center, aims to bridge the gap between students and businesses, fostering valuable networking opportunities and professional relationships.

Dr. Ryan Blanton, Vice President of Advancement and President of the Guymon Chamber of Commerce said, “OPSU is critical to building the workforce of our region. We appreciate our local businesses and industry partners supporting and hiring our graduates.”

MaKenze Anderson, Academic Resource Coordinator, expressed gratitude towards the community business partners for their involvement in providing this essential experience for OPSU students. “We appreciate our community business partners providing this essential experience for our juniors and seniors at OPSU,” said Anderson. “We at the Academic Resource Center look forward to this event every year.”

The event will feature as many as 25 businesses, allowing them to engage with talented students and showcase career opportunities within their organizations. Students will be able to interact with industry professionals, gain insights into various career paths, and build connections that could shape their future.

Kale Ramirez, an OPSU student, highlighted the significance of Aggie Career Connections in facilitating networking opportunities and professional relationships. “I am thankful for Aggie Career Connections because of the networking opportunities and professional relationships that are made,” said Ramirez.
