Chilling Success at OPSU’s Dorm of Doom

The annual Dorm of Doom at OPSU has set the stage for this spooky season. The event, which is a joint effort of Student Activities and the Images Art Club, welcomed numerous volunteers from student organizations, athletic teams, and the local community to create a chilling and unforgettable experience.

Student Activities and the Images Art Club have had a record number of volunteers this year. The clubs and organizations that have helped make Dorm of Doom possible are the Student Government Association, the OPSU Baseball team, the Cheer team, the History Club, the Shooting Sports team, HALO, and student workers from the Communications Department and the Noble Center. There have also been local volunteers and alumni from the art department that have come out.

Katy George, the Images Art Club Advisor, enthused, “We’ve been very fortunate to have so many dedicated students participate in the Dorm of Doom this year, making it the scariest it’s been in years! We would like to personally thank the Student Government Association for donating funds to the Dorm of Doom and helping us make some extra spooky additions this year!”

Morgan Trevino, Student Activities Coordinator, added, “From the makeup artists to the tour guides and the actors, everyone has given their all to bring the Dorm of Doom to life. We can’t thank everyone enough. We hope to see lots more people tonight from 8-10 PM for our closing night.”

The Dorm of Doom had their opening nights on October 27 and 28 and had over 130 take on the tour. As Halloween night draws near, Dorm of Doom offers a last chance to immerse yourself in a night of spine-chilling fun and camaraderie. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience as it reaches its hair-raising climax tonight, Tuesday, October 31, from 8 to 10 PM, at Mueller Hall.
