Dr. Abbas Aboohamidi has been named the Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture, Science, and Nursing at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Dr. Aboohamidi has dedicated his career to advancing knowledge and innovation in economics.
Dr. Aboohamidi’s expertise lies in economics, but he has a deep understanding of agriculture and science. He earned his doctoral degree in Agriculture Applied Economics and Master’s degree in Economics, both from Texas Tech University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Economics at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He has since contributed significantly to the academic community through his research, publications, and leadership roles.
“I am deeply honored and thrilled to assume the role of Associate Dean at the College of Agriculture, Science, and Nursing,” expressed Dr. Abbas Aboohamidi. “I eagerly look forward to advancing our mission of providing a transformative education to our students and positively impacting our communities.”
Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Theresa Billiot, commented, “The College of Agriculture, Science, and Nursing is growing at a rapid rate, and an Associate Dean position needed to be filled. Dr. Abbas is the perfect candidate for this position, and I strongly believe he will help with the growth of the College.”
Dr. Aboohamidi’s appointment as the Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture, Science, and Nursing at Oklahoma Panhandle State University is effective July 1, 2023.
