Panhandle State will see new changes and improvements in campus dining starting this Fall semester. These improvements are led by student leaders and observable campus trends. Campus dining partner, Great Western Dining is seeking a new Food Service Director for the Dining Hall, Aggie Grill, and Catering.
“Students took on the challenge this past semester of assisting us with meeting the general needs in the food services area of campus life. The students wanted healthier options and better presentations. Great Western Dining sat at the table with us and put pen and paper to action. I’m so excited for students to come back and see progress in motion. We have some action items being worked on throughout the fall, but it’s great to see the student voice coming through.”, stated Valentina Allen, Dean of Student Affairs.
Enhancements to the Cafeteria and Grill have already started, with available beverage and snack options. Other improvements students can look forward to seeing this fall are a new salad bar design in the dining hall, a healthy entrée option available for all meals, new ice cream freezer in the dining hall, new slushy machine in the Aggie Grill, a new espresso machine in aggie grill, and many more things.
Robert Rogers, Regional Manager for Great Western Dining, stated, “We are very excited for this upcoming semester and all of the changes. It is a new day, and we are excited to be Panhandle Proud!”
