OPSU Campus Firearms Policy

With a new handgun law coming into effect today, November 1st, Oklahoma Panhandle State University will continue to follow its current policy of no guns on campus unless an exception to campus carry policy has been granted. This policy is in accordance with the law taking effect.

“We want to continue to make Panhandle State a safe place for our students, faculty, staff, and community,” said University President, Dr. Tim Faltyn. “As this new law comes into effect, we will be working with local law enforcement to ensure we are balancing the intent of the law with safety on campus and all individuals.”

Questions, concerns or applications for exceptions to this law can be addressed to the OPSU Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.
