Homecoming 2018 Set for September 22nd

Goodwell, Okla. — Homecoming 2018 is set for Saturday, September 22 and you won’t want to miss a second of the “Flashback to the 90’s” themed action at Oklahoma Panhandle State University.

Alumni registration will start the day off at 9 a.m. in McKee Library followed by a public reception for the Alumni Honored Family at 10 a.m. in the Baggerly Banquet Hall at the University House. This year’s honored family is the Stedje family. This large Norwegian family has 28 members spanning four generations who attended Panhandle totaling 15 Bachelor’s degrees earned from Panhandle State from 1939 to 2014.

Always a community favorite, the annual Homecoming Parade will take the streets at 11 a.m. introducing a brand new route right through the heart of campus and through the Aggie tailgate zone which opens at 11 a.m. as well.

A special tree dedication in honor of the Stedje family will follow the parade at 11:45 in the tailgate zone.

Seaboard foods and the Panhandle State Association of Alumni & Friends are teaming up again to provide free barbeque in the tailgate zoon at noon.

Moving to Anchor D Stadium, the homecoming royalty will be crowned and Panhandle State National Champions recognized prior to the game at 1:30 p.m. The Aggies will take the field for a 2 p.m. kick-off in what promises to be intense action against the Pioneers of Wayland Baptist. The Stedje family will be recognized during halftime.

Admission for the football game is $10 for adults and $5 for 11-17 years old, $5 for Military ID or senior citizens (65 and above). Children under ten and students with ID are admitted free.

Don your red and blue, come early, and stay all day!
