Job Summary

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 months (August-May) JOB SUMMARY: Assist with promotion and sponsorship of Aggie Athletics

Responsibilities

  • Work with local media outlets for promotions
  • Assist with marketing, promotions, and sponsorships for Aggie Athletics
  • Make sure all home games have a voice
  • Serve as a media contact for sports assigned by SID.
  • Serve as official statistician at various sporting events.
  • Work with Campus Communications and Sports Information on marketing
  • Editing and printing game programs.
  • Assisting with the production of video web casts, historical research, writing press releases and publishing feature stories (video and written).
  • Assist SID with management of student workers, game day tables, and press box crews.
  • Maintaining and updating the athletics web site (opsuaggies.com) and social media channels.
  • Assist in preparing game notes/programs, team media guides, and team photos.
  • Assist with set up of game day equipment.
  • Help coordinate and supervise video stream of home contests and social media outlets associated with athletics.
  • Available to work weekends, evenings, and potential holidays as dictated by the university's sports' schedules.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift more than 50-lb. objects; frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
  • Ability to work various hours, including nights and weekends throughout the year for practice, games and recruiting.
  • Be able to transport team to the contests, and be responsible for their well-being.
  • Could be exposed to a variety of weather conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned by the or his/her designee
  • Knowledge of athletic contests
  • Sponsorship and/or advertising sales experience.
