Instructor of Industrial Arts

Upon earning a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in May 2018, Brandon embarked on his professional journey in the construction industry. His first notable role was as a Project Manager at Burgess Co, where he was entrusted with the responsibility of managing projects valued between $250,000 and $2,500,000 from June 2018 to December 2019. In this capacity, Brandon honed his skills in estimating, bidding, and proposing projects. His keen oversight ensured seamless communication between architects and building owners, which was pivotal in delivering timely construction updates. Furthermore, he displayed adept management of scheduling and onsite crews, ensuring projects adhered to timelines and quality standards.

Transitioning to a role as a Building Official/Inspector for the City of Guymon in December 2019, Brandon embraced a spectrum of responsibilities that lasted until August 2022. In this role, he managed the permitting and plan review processes meticulously, ensuring all construction projects adhered to the International Building Code standards. His diligent inspections covering commercial and residential buildings, plumbing, electrical, and roofing projects ensured a high degree of compliance and safety, thus maintaining the integrity and reputation of the city's construction standards.

In August 2022, Brandon took on an academic mantle as an Instructor of Industrial Technology at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Here, he channeled his comprehensive knowledge and practical experience into nurturing the next generation of industry professionals. Brandon designed and delivered courses in Robotics Programming, Construction, Electricity, AutoCAD, and Machine Shop, blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical insights. His role also extended to academic advising, where he crafted degree plans for students and provided valuable advice on career choices, thereby contributing to the holistic development of his students.

Additionally, Brandon holds a plethora of certifications that amplify his expertise in the field. These include certifications in Wind Energy and Maintenance Technology, ICC B1, Six Sigma, and Oklahoma Home Inspection. Each of these certifications underscores his commitment to continuous learning and excellence in his professional endeavors.

Over the course of his career, Brandon has not only demonstrated a profound understanding of industrial technology and construction management but also a commendable ability to transfer knowledge and ensure compliance with industry standards. His diverse work history reflects a blend of practical expertise, academic contributions, and a relentless pursuit of professional development, making him a well-rounded professional ready to tackle complex challenges in the interdisciplinary realms of construction, engineering, and education.
