“Being named Chair of the Economic Development Council is an honor, and I see it as an extension of my work at OPSU,” said Dr. Blanton. “Every effort we make in economic development circles back to how we can better serve our students and business and industry partners. It’s about creating opportunities for prosperity in Oklahoma, not just for today, but for the future.”
Dr. Blanton’s involvement in these key leadership roles also brings valuable insights and connections to the OPSU Advancement team. His work with the Guymon Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Oklahoma, and the Guymon Industrial Foundation Board has positioned him to advocate for the university at both local and state levels, ensuring that OPSU remains a vital player in the region’s growth.
As OPSU continues to advance its mission, Dr. Blanton’s leadership in these roles will be crucial in driving the university forward, providing new avenues for student success, and enhancing the university’s role in the broader community.
