Academic Scholarships

Value: $500

• Who: First-time freshmen and transfer students living in campus are eligible*
• What: Housing waiver, amount varies but up to full waiver available
• When: Award is split between Fall and Spring semester
• Details: 24 credit hours for Fall and Spring, minimum 2.00 GPA

*Housing waiver cannot exceed cost of housing charges.

Four Year Value: $9,600 

• Who: First-time freshmen
• What: $2,400 renewable each year or $9,600 over the course of your time at OPSU
• When: Award is split between Fall and Spring semester
• Details: ACT/SAT 26 ACT or GPA 3.75
• Renewable details: 15 hours per semester, 3.25 GPA, FAFSA completion each year (if applicable)

Four Year Value: $4,800

• Who: First-time freshmen
• What: $1,200 renewable each year or $4,800 over the course of your time at OPSU
• When: Award is split between Fall and Spring semester
• Details: ACT/SAT 24 or higher, or high school GPA of 3.50
• Renewable details: 15 hours per semester, 3.00 GPA, FAFSA completion each year (if applicable)

• Who: First-time freshman students

Value: $2,400

• Who: Transfer students with at least sophomore standing (30 credits or more)
• What: $800 renewable each year, up to $2,400
• When: Award is split between Fall and Spring semester
• Details: Transfer GPA of 2.75
• Renewable details: 15 hours per semester, 3.00 GPA, FAFSA completion each year (if applicable)

Value: Variable

• Who: Transfer students from Oklahoma only, that have graduated from an accredited nursing program in the state of Oklahoma. Must have an active, unencumbered RN license.
• Details: Accepted into the OPSU RN to BSN Nursing Program.
  •  Full-time students must be enrolled in 24 credit hours for the fall, spring, or summer semesters
  • Part-time students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours for the fall, spring, or summer semester

***If these requirements are met, students may be eligible for this scholarship to pay the difference in the cost of tuition from the college which they graduated and the cost of tuition at OPSU. The scholarship would be applied for up to two full years of classes including summer.

Value: Variable

• Who: For transfer students with an associate’s degree from Oklahoma only, have to enroll in a Ba in English
• Details: GPA of 3.00; Renewable up to two years
• Renewable details: 30 hours each year, 3.00 GPA, FAFSA completion each year (if applicable)
