It’s Time for the Annual Bronc School!

Goodwell, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University isn’t called “Saddle Bronc U” for no reason and the annual Deke Latham Memorial Bronc Riding School is one of the great opportunities that contributes to the winning tradition that the red and blue vests are known for. The school is scheduled for May 9-12, 2019 in Goodwell at the Lynn Gardner Rodeo Arena.

A list of renowned instructors will be teaching the school including, all three Etbauer brothers, who have made several trips to the National Finals Rodeo, former coach Craig Latham, Bret Franks, Taos Muncy, and other alumni.

2019 Central Plains Region Saddle Bronc Riding Champion and Panhandle State Sophomore Dawson Dahm commented, “I’ve had the opportunity to be coached by some of the most iconic names in rodeo from Rod Hay to Robert Etbauer. The annual bronc riding school here in Goodwell is such a great chance to learn from some of the best.”

The event is open to the public for viewing and the students in attendance will put their knowledge straight to action during a round of competition on Sunday afternoon. For more information, contact Sue Etbauer at 620.655.4632 or by email at sue.etbauer@opsu.edu. The cost is $400.
