Distinguished Lecturer: Dr. Kyle Grigsby

Goodwell, Okla. — On October 16th, Dr. Kyle Grigsby will be visiting the Oklahoma Panhandle State University campus to talk about the cattle feed and nutrition industry. He will be discussing the role of nutritionists and how they work with clients and feed companies. He will also be going over what he looks for when searching for new employees.

Dr. Grigsby will discuss the positions they have at J.D. Heiskell and will give students the opportunity to take a few of the tests that they give to prospective employees. He has said that he will gladly accept resumes from students and will stay as long as needed to speak with the students. Dr. Grigsby is a ruminant nutritionist working with J.D. Heiskell & Co; He also consults for dairies and feed yards and has management responsibilities for a manufactured feed business in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico. He has held positions with Hubbard Milling Company, Cargill Animal Nutrition, and Cargill Sweet Bran. In both the past and present, Dr. Grigsby has strived to provide sound nutrition advice to clients, build productive sales groups, and instill integrity into programs in which he is involved.

Raised on a beef and poultry farm near Nacogdoches, Texas, Dr. Grigsby is married with two children and now lives near Bushland, Texas. Dr. Grigsby holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Animal science with a PhD in Ruminant Nutrition. The lecture will be held in SAB 101 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
