Instructor/Assistant Professor of Animal Science Agricultural Communications

Full time position in the Agriculture Department will begin August 11, 2025. Must be able to teach on-campus. Responsibilities include teaching 12-15 hours per semester (27-30 hours per year) with the possibility of summer teaching assignment(s). Instructional coursework will include agricultural communications courses. In addition, assisting with the departmental assessment process, academic mentoring/tutoring, participation in scholarly activities, service to the university, the profession, and the community and fulfilling university responsibilities as needed are requirements of this position. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Follows university policies and procedures, the university faculty handbook, and teaching standards set forth by the university. Instructors are evaluated each semester by students through course evaluations and undergo an annual faculty performance review.

Instructor/Assistant Professor of English

Full time position in the Department of English will begin in August 2025. Must be able to teach on-campus. Responsibilities include teaching 12-15 hours per semester (27-30 hours per year) with the possibility of summer teaching assignment(s). Instructional coursework will include freshman composition and British literature, including Shakespeare. In addition, assisting with the departmental assessment process, academic mentoring/tutoring, participation in scholarly activities, service to the university, the profession, and the community and fulfilling university responsibilities as needed are requirements of this position. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Follows university policies and procedures, the university faculty handbook, and teaching standards set forth by the university. Instructors are evaluated each semester by students through course evaluations and undergo an annual faculty performance review.

Farm Hand

The Farm technician manages livestock, farrowing, feed rations, operates and maintains equipment, maintains inventory of livestock and feed, and maintains facility security. This position requires good livestock farm management skills for successful operations and profitability of the University Farm. Proper management of the herd, feed, and equipment are all key elements for a successful farm. Having an experienced and knowledgeable livestock farm manager is a key factor in achieving these goals. A successful livestock farm manager must possess strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. They must have a good understanding of animal nutrition, as well as the ability to think strategically and implement long-term plans. They should have a solid understanding of the legal requirements concerning animal welfare and food safety, as well as the ability to keep up with the latest advances in the field. Working collaboratively with farm staff to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment for animals is also important. Lastly, having excellent communication skills can help the livestock farm manager effectively coordinate efforts within the farm and with University faculty and staff. All of these skills are essential for successful livestock farm management.

The IT Support Specialist, who reports to the Director of Information Technology, must provide essential technical support to faculty, staff, and students, ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of university technology resources. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing network connectivity, supporting classroom technology, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Full time position in the Biology Department will begin August 13, 2025. Must be able to teach on-campus. Responsibilities include teaching 12-15 hours per semester (27-30 hours per year) with the possibility of summer teaching assignment(s). Instructional coursework will include Principles of Biology I and II with labs and/or other courses based on qualifications. In addition, assisting with the departmental assessment process, academic mentoring/tutoring, participation in scholarly activities, service to the university, the profession, and the community and fulfilling university responsibilities as needed are requirements of this position. Works collaboratively with the Department Chair or Dean for assigned courses. Promotes student success through development of program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes. Follows university policies and procedures, the university faculty handbook, and teaching standards set forth by the university. Instructors are evaluated each semester by students through course evaluations and undergo an annual faculty performance review.

Coordinator of Counseling

The Coordinator of Counseling, who reports to the Dean of Student Affairs, must demonstrate experience with mental health and behavioral intervention strategies. The Coordinator must have the skills to organize and administer a sustainable emotional and physical health awareness program. The Coordinator will serve as an advisor to the campus Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) to provide expertise and recommendations for intervention strategies to address psychological needs, behavioral signs, symptoms and risk factors involving potential suicide, sexual assault, substance abuse, actual or potential violence, or serious psychological disturbance. The Coordinator will provide some individual counseling services and provide referrals to off-campus professional services for students when appropriate.
