The OPSU Association of Alumni and Friends proudly announced that Shelbie Rose, Head Women’s Rodeo Coach, and distinguished alumna, has been named the Fall 2024 Alumni on the Move. Rose, a standout in the rodeo community, has earned national attention for her achievements and leadership, earning her the title of Rodeo Coach of the Year for the Central Plains Region for the fourth consecutive year.
Since taking the reins as Head Women’s Rodeo Coach at OPSU, Rose has made a lasting impact on the program. Her dedication to the sport and her students has elevated the OPSU Rodeo team to new heights and inspired the next generation of rodeo athletes.
Under her leadership, the OPSU Women’s Rodeo team has consistently performed at an elite level, with numerous athletes qualifying for the College National Finals Rodeo and achieving top rankings in the region. Rose’s commitment to excellence in and out of the arena is evident in the team’s success and her players’ growth as athletes and individuals.
