[Joey's favorite thing about Panhandle State is] the people I work alongside.
Joey Glass
He spends a lot of his time all across campus, making sure everything is functional and a place we can all be proud of.
Glass graduated from Muskogee High School in 2003 and became HVAC certified in 2016. He was brought to Panhandle State when his wife, Amber Glass, was presented with a job opportunity. Once arriving on campus to start their next chapter, Glass learned that the Physical Plant was hiring. He became part of the maintenance staff and has been with the department for a few years.
When asked what his favorite thing about Panhandle State was, Glass stated. “The people I work alongside.” Glass and the maintenance staff wear many different hats at Panhandle State. Some of the tasks in this role are building maintenance, setting up for events, and grounds keeping.
Director of Physical Plant, Robby Johnson, said, “Joey is an excellent employee, and I appreciate him. He is someone I can rely on to get any job done that is asked of him. I am thankful to have him on my team.”
Glass has been married to Amber for 15 years, and they have three beautiful daughters, Madison, Sophia, and Hattie. They spend most of their time enjoying family. If you can’t find Joey on campus or with his family, he enjoys getting away to hunt, fish, and do woodworking.
