Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Panhandle State

Oklahoma Panhandle State University is proud to stand in solidarity with our community to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. An activist and a driving force of the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s, Dr. King believed that there was a future in which all persons could live in peace. We take January 17th not only as a day to revisit his legacy, but also as a day to educate ourselves, and celebrate black culture. In this spirit, OPSU Student Life, El Centro, and the OPSU Library will host a viewing of the movie Selma in the Aggie Athletics Team Room on Monday at 2pm. Food and refreshments will be provided to all who attend.
