Amber Glass Named Dean of Student Services

Oklahoma Panhandle State University selected Amber Glass as the new Dean of Student Services. She assumed the position on September 8. Prior to accepting this position, she served as the Registrar, Director of Academic Records, and the International Student Coordinator. In her position as Dean, she will continue the role of the International Student Coordinator.

President Dr. Tim Faltyn stated, “Amber Glass has a history of being a thoughtful and organized voice for our university. She has really stepped up in this unprecedented situation and demonstrated next level growth as a leader. I am confident that the processes in student life, communication across campus, and most importantly, the student experience will improve greatly under her leadership.”

Glass will be responsible for residential life and campus housing, student activities, and student conduct. She will be building a team over the next several weeks to help build new processes to enhance the student experience.

Dr. Dinger commented, “Student Services is an area that has the potential to impact every student on campus. Applying her skillset, Ms. Glass will turn student services into a center of excellence for the university.”

Originally from Oktaha, Oklahoma, Glass has served Panhandle State for three years. Before OPSU, she worked in higher education as an Assistant Registrar and a Recruiter.

Glass received her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix, an MBA from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and is currently working towards a Doctorate of Education majoring in Educational Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands.

Glass stated, “The students, faculty, and staff at OPSU are some of the best I’ve worked with. Everyone is dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams, which is clear anytime you are in the classrooms, offices, and events on campus.”

“I am grateful for this amazing opportunity. I am excited to work with the various colleges and departments around campus to bring this office up to the level of excellence that others have created and that OPSU has worked tirelessly to achieve,” said Glass “As Dean of Student Services I look forward to working with students to make their time and experiences at OPSU the best during this chapter of their lives.”
