Student Information on Coronavirus

As the impact of the novel coronavirus in Oklahoma remains a fluid situation, our OPSU administration is committed with keeping you up to date with the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

All updates and information regarding the novel coronavirus and COVID-19 can be found at https://opsu.edu/coronavirus

All students are advised to remain away from campus as their individual circumstances allow until classes resume on April 6, 2020, and to participate in virtual instruction. All OPSU offices will remain accessible virtually. Contact information can be found at the OPSU directory, http://www.opsu.edu/About/Personnel

Students who must return to campus are welcome, but when you come back to campus, we ask that you do three things:

1. Notify the Housing office by emailing panhandlehousing@opsu.edu within an hour of your arrival

2. We also ask that you check in with either Nico, if you live in Holter or Field, or Juan if you live in the apartments. They are keeping track of all of the residents in each location.

3. In accordance with the latest Centers for Disease Control guidance, avoid all social gatherings of 10 or more people. More information can be found here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/03.16.20_coronavirus-guidance_8.5x11_315PM.pdf

Beginning Saturday at lunch, grab and go meals will be available for pickup out of the Cafeteria instead of regular meal service. The food pantry is available by appointment, call 580-349-1558 if you need food or toiletries.

We will keep you updated and arrange a screening with a healthcare provider. Be sure to follow us on social media @lifeopsu for updates on housing, meal services, and student events. Travel safely, and we look forward to welcoming you back!

If you have any questions or need any help, please let us know.

Thank you,
