Alva, Okla.—The Aggies took their second meeting of the season with Northwestern Oklahoma State Tuesday evening in Alva, where they would fall once again to the Rangers in three sets (25-9, 25-12, 25-14).
Panhandle State volleyball had faced NWOSU previously as one of their opponents in the Aggies Challenge Tournament back in August. The Rangers were equally challenging the second time around, and outmatched the Aggies 46-17 in kills, 5-2 in service aces and 6-3 in blocks. The Aggies finished with an overall hitting percentage of .074, while the Rangers hit at over 36 percent for the match.
Kendra Butler and Lauren Hastings led the Aggies in scoring with Butler earning 5.5 points on five kills and on block assist; Hastings gathered five points on four kills and one ace. The Aggies now hold a 1-11 record on the season with a 1-4 record in SAC play.
Aggie volleyball remains on the road this week with a Sooner Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday, Sept. 15 at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. Live stats and video streaming links are available online for those wishing to follow the action from home.
