Aggie Athletics Hosts Sunset Social at Pickle Creek Aug. 3

Goodwell, Okla.—Oklahoma Panhandle State University’s Athletics Department seeks to make their annual Belly Open Silent Auction a stand-alone event, open to golfers and non-golfers alike. Held in conjunction with the yearly golf tournament fundraiser, the new and improved “Sunset Social” will separately showcase the silent auction, dinner and dance portion of the event.

On Friday, Aug. 3 the Pickle Creek Event Center in Guymon will house a wide array of silent auction items including a custom set of Aggie cornhole boards from Victory Tailgate, tickets and accommodations to the 2018 NFR in Las Vegas, professional sports memorabilia, gift cards to area hot spots, lots of great Aggies gear and much more! The event begins at 8 p.m. and guests will enjoy a BBQ dinner from Hunny’s, live music by 12 Gauge and complimentary cold beverages.

Make it a date night and purchase advance tickets for $20 each online at opsuaggies.com under the Fan Central/Tickets tabs. The Ticket Roar system accepts major credit cards with a small fee attached; tickets may also be purchased through members of the Aggie coaching staff and at the door the night of the event. Those participating in the Belly Open Golf Tournament will receive one ticket each for the Sunset Social. This year patrons will also have the option to pay for silent auction items via credit card, as an alternative to check or cash payments.

As the main fundraiser for Aggie Athletics, all proceeds from both the tournament and Sunset Social will go directly towards facility upgrades, recruiting support and improving the overall experience for student athletes at Panhandle State. Individuals and businesses wishing to support this great cause may do so by way of hole sponsorships or item donations for the silent auction.

For more information on the tournament or to register a team, please contact Coach Russell Gaskamp at rgaskamp@opsu.edu or by phone at 580-349-1332.
