Senior Artists Present “Aspireto Inspire”

Goodwell, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University senior art students Alyssa Livingston and Sarah Fahnert invite you to join them for “Aspireto Inspire”, a Bachelor of Fine Arts art exhibit, May 7-11 in Hesper Hall room 301 on campus.

The exhibit is free and open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy a meet and greet reception with the artists on Wednesday night, May 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The exhibit will be open on Thursday, May 10 following commencement.

Meet the Artists

Sarah Fahnert is a senior at Panhandle State. She is majoring in Art and minoring in Education. Following graduation, she plans to move back to Dalhart, Texas where she is from to teach high school Art classes. Sarah is the daughter of Melissa and Wes Ritchey and Roger and Penny Fahnert. Sarah loves kids, painting, listening to music and having a good time.

Alyssa Livingston was born in Amarillo, Texas on January 9, 1995. She is the daughter of two Panhandle State Alumni; her mother graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degree and her father graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education degree. She currently lives in Amarillo, Texas with her mom, step-dad, four younger sisters, and one younger brother who is now starting college. She enjoys working with all types of art including painting, drawing, jewelry making, and ceramics. Even though she enjoys all types of art, she has a true love for painting. When it comes to painting, her teacher, Bryon Test, has inspired her to expand her creativity and learn how to confront challenges. She is an Art major with a minor in Education, graduating this year. Alyssa has been in the Images art club since she arrived at Panhandle State and is currently the Secretary of the Images Art Club. She has earned fourteen first place ribbons and two Best-of-Show titles for her ceramic pieces in the Amarillo Tri-State Fair art competition. She also won one first place ribbon last year for her pastel sunset at the Tri-State fair art competition. She hopes to enter more paintings into competitions.
