Convocation Ceremony Honors Education Graduates

Goodwell, Okla. — A special Convocation Ceremony for graduates of the School of Education was held Wednesday, April 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. in Hughes Strong Auditorium. 20 graduates received their cords.

Dr. Tim Faltyn, Panhandle State President, welcomed the graduates and congratulated them on a job well done following the processional played by Carol Hill and a prayer by Shelly Worm.

Interim Dean Dr. Jerry Mihelic presented the Class of 2017-2018. Elementary Education graduates include: Rylee Abert, Sarah Brady, Dakota Moon Dodge, Amber Hall Lorenzen, Quinten Mirabal, Brenda Rivera, Taryn Robison, Eryn Edenborough Stokes, Kelli Winters, Sydni Yates, and Kristina Simpson Ybarra.

Agricultural Education graduates include Lonnie Born, Sarah Brady, Josh Frost, Abigail Reinick, and Ashby Williams.

Mathematics Education graduates include Diego Arenas-Purvinis, Haley Bonilla, Kira Oliver, and Andreanna Wray.

“We are very proud of our graduates and the tradition of excellence they exhibit. We are excited our graduates will be teaching and making a difference in the world,” said Dr. Mihelic.

Dr. Mihelic gave the closing remarks and following a postlude by Hill. A reception followed.
