Co-ed Basketball Camps Set for June at Panhandle State

Goodwell, Okla.—OPSU offers three camps this summer to youth interested in honing their basketball skills. Camps take place on the Panhandle State campus and fill up quickly, so early registration for all is strongly encouraged.

Panhandle State Basketball has set dates for the ever-popular co-ed summer camps. Two separate camps will take place on campus on June 11-14. This first camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 2-4. The second camp is offered for kids entering grades 5-8 and is set for the following week, June 18-21. Both camps run from 1-5 p.m. daily, with each offering individuals the chance to increase their knowledge, improve their skills and compete against other athletes at a much lower price than other camps. Camps cover fundamentals and skill development with lots of fun throughout the four-day experience. Each participant that registers before June 2 will receive a t-shirt and camp basketball. Contact Coach Victor Esparza for more information at 505-603-2963 or by email at coachvic@opsu.edu.

This year Aggie women’s basketball will also host an Aggies Elite Camp June 4-6 for girls entering grades 9-12, and a Team Summer League June 7-9 geared towards junior varsity and varsity squads. The Elite Camp strives to teach and develop fundamental skills of all players, focusing on each individual to help them reach their maximum potential. The Summer League offers teams a chance to compete in the off-season in an organized and competitive environment. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of ten games, and athletic trainers, officials, scorekeepers and clock keepers will be provided for all games. With pricing available for both commuter and resident teams, this camp is a great fit for any team in the area to build chemistry and skill among teammates. Registration is due by May 20 with deposits due to guarantee space. Interested parties can contact Coach Esparza at 505-603-2963 or by email at coachvic@opsu.edu.

All camps will be under the direction and supervision of Panhandle State coaches and players, and each participant must provide proof of insurance and sign a liability release upon registration. Pricing and further information on the summer basketball camps is available online at opsuaggies.com under Support the Aggies, Camps tab. Summer is coming up fast, so do not miss out on these excellent opportunities at Panhandle State!
