Goodwell, Okla. — It was a beautiful day for the 20th Annual Art Jubilee on the campus of Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Sponsored by the Galleon Restaurant, the day saw over 330 participants with 16 different high schools represented from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas.
The day was packed full of contests and demonstrations as well scholarships and prize money. Professional artist and tie-down roper Bradley Chance Hays joined Panhandle State’s very own Brent Shoulders as guest artists for the event.
Hadley Smith, a senior at Cheyenne High School, has been attended the Art Jubilee since she was a sophomore and plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in both Fine Art and Finance before pursuing a master’s degree. “The Art Jubilee is an amazing experience and completely unique compared to the majority of art shows which are mostly held in Oklahoma City or Tulsa. It’s so personal and the staff really takes an interest in the kids! It’s definitely been worth the four-hour drive.”
Special thanks goes out to the event sponsor The Galleon Restaurant and additional thanks goes to Anchor D Bank, Prestage Farms, Slats Market, Tri-County Electric, Top Value, Great Western Dining, and Kim’s Ribs.
