Search for Panhandle State Men’s Basketball Coach to Begin

Goodwell, Okla. — Oklahoma Panhandle State University will begin a national search for a new Head Coach of the Men’s Aggie Basketball program, following the resignation of Coach Jerry Olson.

Coach Olson, who has led the Aggie program since 2004 is proud of the community support for Aggie Athletics that he experienced during his tenure. “I really want to thank all of those in the community that supported our program throughout the years.”

“The support from individuals and businesses means a lot,” said Olson, “but now is a good time to explore other opportunities.”

Aggie Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Victor Esparza, will supervise the men’s team until a new head coach is hired.
Panhandle State will begin the search immediately, and looks to have a new head coach in place in the near future.
