Ticket Sales Open at Midnight for Art Auction

Goodwell, Okla. — Images Art Club from Oklahoma Panhandle State University is excited to present the 18th annual Paul Farrell Memorial Art Auction on Friday, March 2nd. This special event takes place in Guymon, Okla. in the Pickle Creek building. The doors will open at 6 p.m. for social hour and the silent auction for miniature pieces will follow at 6:30 p.m. The most exciting event will be the live auction starting at 8 p.m. Participants from near and far will gather together to experience an evening of fun to purchase the art made by the students, faculty, and alumni.

This year the sense of nostalgia will be strong and guests will be taken back to the 1960s Jazz era and casino scene with the “Rat Pack” theme. The entertainment this year will be provided by Travis Hathcote and Guy Langham. This duo is sure to make anyone feel like they took a trip to the past with their amazing vocals.

There will also be a guest artist, Danielle Robinson, who does amazing sculptures in any kind of metal she can get her hands on. She is a graduate from Panhandle State. Robinson is currently a professor at Fort Hays State University and Crowder College.

The entertainment and prime rib dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and this will be included in the ticket purchase. Ticket sales will begin on February the 8th at midnight and will be sold exclusively online. Tickets are LIMITED. Last year, the tickets were sold out in less than 24 hours, so it is critical to purchase them as soon as possible. The website will be announced tonight on the Paul Farrell Memorial Art Auction page found on Facebook. It is highly recommended that users like the page for updates on the auction and to get a sneak peek of the art as well.

The proceeds of the ticket sales and artwork sold will benefit the current and future students by giving them a chance to step into the marketing world and become a favorite of buyers. It also helps Images Art Club provide scholarships for young artists. These artists are very thankful for the people who come to this auction because without them their success wouldn’t be possible. Don’t miss out on this amazing chance to meet some local artists and purchase beautiful pieces from the students Panhandle State.
