Job Summary:

To order and process all information materials and supplies for Library, keep track of all inventory items and handle appropriate documentation for adding, withdrawing and/or transferring of items, to keep track of Library statistics, including library circulation statistics, assist Library Director with budget including student payroll and in helping to form library policy.

Responsibilities:

• Keep all library statistics including circulation records and assist Library Director in compiling annual reports and IPEDS Academic survey as well as keeping track of inventory items, handling all appropriate transfer or withdrawal documentation.
• Assists Library Director in maintaining Library Budget.
• Orders all informational materials and supplies under direction of Library Director.
• Assist in supervision of the circulation desk in the absence of Access Services Librarian
• Complete and deliver all appropriate forms regarding absence from library duty, request for vacation leave, absence reports, travel requests, etc. as required by university and library policies. Oral and written communication should confirm approval or disapproval of such request.
• Answer reference questions and assist library users individually when the reference librarian is not available.
• Assist library users.

• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example.
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible.
• Must be able to lift more than 20lb. objects; frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
• Ability to work various hours, including nights and weekends throughout the year.
• Can be exposed to a variety of weather conditions for periods of time.
• Other duties as assigned by Library Director or designee.

Qualifications:

• Professional training or education in the areas of MS software and main operating systems software.
• Knowledge of MS Office products and software.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
• HIgh School Diploma required.
• Commitment to continued professional growth and education.
