Job Summary:

Full time position in Elementary Education (Generalist) to begin August 9, 2021. Responsibilities include teaching Elementary Methods courses, serve on Teacher Education Council, supervise student interns, and other duties as assigned. 


• Earned Doctorate from accredited university desired, Master’s degree required.
• Public school experience.
• Higher Ed experience.
• Experience with CAEP and portfolios desired.


• Master’s degree required.
• Doctorate degree preferred.


• Teach Elementary Education Methods courses and other Education courses as needed each semester
• Teach 12-15 hours per semester; summer teaching is possible.
• Teach fall and spring face-to-face and online courses.
• Advise students.
• Supervise student teachers
• Serve on Portfolio Committees
• Serve on University committees, and support College of Arts and Education clubs, organizations, etc.
• Support and participate in academic recruiting and retention efforts.
• Assist in program assessment at the departmental level.
• Communicate in a courteous manner.
• Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example
• Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsibly.
• Must be able to lift more than 20-lb. objects; frequent bending, stooping, and walking.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Dean, College of Arts and Education or designee.
