Dominick Bell Named CSFL Defensive Player of the Week

Released by Panhandle State Sports Information on 09/04/2017

Goodwell, Okla.—Aggie linebacker Dominick Bell earned conference honors for this week’s season-opener performance against McMurry.

Bell was named Central States Football League Defensive Player of the Week after attacking the War Hawks with 2.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss. The senior collected ten tackles in the game with seven solos and three assists; he also forced one fumble to keep McMurry out of the end zone on a goal line standoff.

Defensive Coordinator Eric Daniels was thrilled to have Bell back after battling injury last season stating, “He made some big time plays in big time situations against McMurry.”

Bell’s solid defensive efforts aided in the Aggies’ 10-0 shutout victory on Thursday evening under the lights at No Man’s Land Stadium. The complete release by the CSFL is available online at centralstatesfootball.com. Congratulations to Dominick Bell and the entire Aggie football team and coaching staff on a great win to start the season.
