Noble Activity Center

Each member will be required to present a valid membership ID at the front desk before admittance will be allowed. The daily pricing is for all patrons without a membership. This includes: Adults, Children and Infants.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. OPSU full-time students who possess a properly validated ID
  2. Full-time employees and immediate family members of OPSU who possess a properly validated ID
  3. Any person who is accompanied by their parent. Parent must possess a family membership. (Family is defined as spouse, and natural and adopted children under the age of 18, or 23 if currently enrolled in college.)
  4. Any person who is referred to Wellness Center by a physician or rehabilitation purposes. (Daily fees may be required.)

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

Instructor: Tracy Dodgion

If you are interested in becoming more familiar with the water, learn a new stroke, refine your strokes, or just want someone to assist you with a workout; we have an instructor for you. Private swim lessons are great for all ages and abilities. Lessons may be scheduled by contacting the instructor at (580)651-4479. Ten (10) thirty (30) minute sessions are available for $80.00.

WATER AEROBICS

Jump right in to our Water Aerobics class and build cardiovascular fitness and strength! Water aerobics is easy on your joints, yet challenging enough to help you reach new levels of fitness. Due to the low impact format, water aerobics are suitable for any age and any fitness level form beginners to elite athletes. This workout is a swimming blend of cardio residence training and may incorporate resistance tools such as buoyant water weights and noodles. Ten sessions are available for $35.00.

ZUMBA

We take the ‘work’ out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness including cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a dose of awesome each time you participate in a class. Classes are $2.00 for individuals but free for OPSU Students.

The Noble Activity Center offers a wide variety of services and equipment for all community members, students, faculty and staff.

AEROBIC ARENA

The Noble Activity Center’s cardiovascular area contains 5 ellipticals, 4 stationary bikes, a treadmill, a stair climber and 2 rowers. There are also 5 televisions that allow you to listen and watch the televisions while training. Anyone using this equipment must be age 12 or older unless special permission is granted.

WEIGHT TRAINING

Enjoy the use of our equipment with the wide variety of machines that are designed for your needs and safety. We also have sets of kettlebells and dumbbells that allow for workouts to be taken to the next level. Young people, ages 10-16, may use the weight training facilities only under direct supervision of a parent.

RACQUETBALL COURTS

Our two regulation size racquetball courts can provide a great workout while still having fun. Courts may be reserved a day in advance through the front desk. Racquets, balls, and goggles are required and can be provided for a $1.00 from the Noble Center Staff.

INDOOR TRACK

The track has three lanes and is designed for running, jogging and walking. Faster runners should use the outside lanes and slower joggers and walkers should use the inside lane.

The OPSU Wellness Committee offers an array of annual events to promote healthy life styles to all OPSU students, faculty, staff and our community.

THE LAZY-MAN TRIATHLON

The challenge consists of a 2.4-mile swim or 1200 meters on the rowing machine, a 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run/walk to be completed over six weeks. The challenge is open to all fitness levels in which the three events can be completed in any order at the participants pace.

MILES & MILES OF SUMMER

Participants must walk or run the required distances they have chosen, level one is 5 miles and level two is 10 miles, each week during the summer months.

PANHANDLE TOUR DE STATES – CYCLING CHALLENGE

Student, faculty, and staff as well as community members may select their preferred route from four options including Los Angeles, Calif. (1116mi); Tallahassee, Fla. (1275mi); Olympia, Wa. (1725mi); and Augusta, Maine (2039mi). All routes begin in Goodwell and are completed by logging the allotted number of miles to virtually reach the destination.

Noble Center Swimming Pool

The pool is 23.5 meters long and has 5 available lanes. At least two lanes will be open for lap swimming.

POOL PARTY

  • Pool cost is $75.00 per hour for 1 to 20 patrons or $85.00 per hour for 21 to 40 patrons.
  • 40-person max limit for pool parties.
  • All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old. (limit 5 children per supervisory adult)
  • All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied in the water by a supervisory adult. (limit 5 children per supervisory adult)
